A family passion
An impregnable fortress in the 12th century, in the mid-1950s it became the property of Duke Amedeo di Savoia-Aosta, who in 1993 ceded ownership to Ferruccio Ferragamo, the promoter of a majestic restoration and renovation of the estate, which restored Il Borro to its original splendor. Il Borro, nestled in the Tuscan hills, is now an organic farm and winery dedicated to hospitality and farm-to-table dining.
In the heart of Valdarno
Il Borro covers an area of 1100 biological hectares among the heights of the Tuscan landscape, in the heart of Valdarno Di Sopra: a wide natural basin marked by the passage of the river of the same name and bordered by the Apennine ridge of Pratomagno.
Experience Borro between art and culture
Today the small Tuscan village, born more than 1,000 years ago, is a place where artists, artisans and visitors share the beauty, style and quality of life that has made Tuscany a favorite destination for visitors from around the world. Inspired by the ancient trades that once existed even at Borro, local artisans such as the goldsmith, shoemaker and restorer have reopened their stores in the medieval village, carrying on their activities every day with love and expertise.
